Heesun is a true creative force and leader in the global retail industry and an editorial board member of DDI magazine, a premiere publication for retailers and designers focused on retail design, visual merchandising, marketing, branding and architecture.

Combining her passion for art, philosophy and design has enabled Heesun to complete successful retail concepts ranging from specialty brand to department stores in the United States, Asia, South America and Europe over her 15 years of experience. She lives by her personal mantra “ Art is where the design process begins”. With an intuitive sense of brand and art direction, Heesun is mindful of all design disciplines, balancing commercial necessity with creative indulgence. Her clients truly believe that she provides a distinct, multi-disciplinary approach towards the design of branded environments and she is committed to creating unique, arresting, comprehensive environments with effective commercial purpose.

Much of Heesun’s career has been focused on creating innovative design solutions for global retail clients such as Lotte Department Stores in Korea, Liverpool Department stores and DFS in Mexico, Hyundai and Level 5 in Korea, Lladro in Spain, Siman in Central America, and BlackBerry, Samsung, Macy’s, Target, TJX, Kohl’s, Luxottica, Coca Cola and Whole food in the United States. Prior to joining FRCH, Heesun worked with Walker Group CNI in New York City and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, furniture Design from Hong-Ik University in Korea and a Master of Fine Arts degree, architecture and interior design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Over the last ten years, her projects have received top honors in globally recognized competitions, including the Liverpool Interlomas department store in Mexico, which was named the 2012 Retail Store of the Year and announced EuroShop Retail Design Award for the best store concept worldwide.
